About Nasi Lemak Segmentation

This is an online demonstration of Nasi Lemak Segmentation using Image-to-Image translation with Conditional Generative Adversarial Network (cGAN).

Nasi lemak is a traditional and iconic Malaysian dish that consists of fragrant coconut rice, typically cooked with pandan leaves, which infuse the rice with a distinct and enticing aroma. The name "nasi lemak" itself translates to "fatty rice" in Malay, referring to the richness and creaminess that the coconut milk imparts to the rice.

This web application is a technology demonstration which can segment Nasi Lemak components. Currently the application is able to identify:

You can upload any photo of Nasi Lemak and the web application will attempt to to segment its components.

This model is trained using TensorFlow with Keras, and made available on the web with the help of TensorFlow.js library.
